5 Thought Friday

My idea of FUN - 30 hours in a Zoom class from Friday to Sunday to improve myself and my Life Coaching skills. Really an amazing feeling when you focus on unwinding your own limiting beliefs and show up energized and “present” daily. Here are 5 Thoughts for the week:

1.       What I am currently reading, viewing, or listening to:

2.       Gratitude Practice (for improved happiness):

  • Grateful for my 84 YO mother-in-law who left the hospital this week stronger than ever after an epic battle with Covid. Positive energy into the universe and a united family effort again prove to be truly magical!

3.       Wellness ideas to consider:

  • 10 self-improvements that assist my efficiency, so I can focus more on the areas in my life I value:

    • Sleep: 7 or more hours of quality sleep nightly to always show up energized - without quality sleep, please disregard the others!

    • Meditation: 10 minutes minimum daily to start the day

    • Fasting: Regular regiment of intermittent and multi-day fasting. I only eat 12 meals per week, which is healthy and adds hours of free time to my week, and saves a few $$$ (for you accountants).

    • Laser Focused Exercise: HIIT, bands, stability training, etc. Just 10 hours a month is enough to raise my energy levels and stay fit

    • Speed Reading: Changing my belief that I CAN read faster with more comprehension opened up a new world for me. Here is an older, but an effective 40-minute course that will pay back in < 1 month

    • Podcasts/M-O-O-Cs (Massive Open Online Courses) - Free learning on so many topics that interest me and improve my efficiency e.g. Learning How To Learn (free on Coursera).

    • Limiting Electronics: Breaking my phone addiction (still a struggle at times) and limiting TV especially the news adds hours to each week

    • Typing course / Voice to Text: Learning how to type and using modern tech to communicate improves my daily output

    • Decluttering my life: Eliminating “things” has freed up so much time for me to focus on experiences and areas valuable to me

    • Personal Mission Statement: Developing a personal mission statement and making decision centered on this eases stress

4. What I’m eating, drinking, buying, or whatever else is on my mind:

  • LedeTech: Utilizing a new stand for my mobile phone and tablet at home and work. Really improved my overall efficiency when reading and on Zoom calls by freeing up my hands.

5. Quote(s) I am Pondering:

  • “It’s not enough to be busy, so are the ants. The question is, what are we busy about?” Henry David Thoreau

  • How simple, yet so powerful. Focus on what is important to YOU!

Happy Friday!

Mike
