5 Thought Friday
Here are 5 Thoughts for the week, which I am utilizing today to share my 2022 annual physical results:
1. What I am currently reading, viewing, or listening to:
Bone mineral density (BMD) and trabecular bone score result from a special DXA scan. Happy to see a positive T-Score, which says my BMD is better than a healthy 30-year-old male (booo ya!)
I have no idea what a trabecular bone score is, but my photo posted HERE looks fine.
I requested this test as an add-on to my standard annual physical and highly recommend it to gather data on your bone density.
2. Gratitude Practice (for improved happiness):
Grateful for the positive results from my recent annual physical. Still feeling young as ever (smile)!
3. Wellness ideas to consider:
DEXA body fat and muscle mass test. Proud to say I dropped 4% body fat year over year, which can be seen around the waist in the side-by-side DEXA image HERE!
I am now 20.6% body fat, which is on the low side for my age. Can I get back into the “teen” body fat % before reaching 60??? Let’s see!
Again, I highly recommend getting your body fat checked to understand your data and where you may have areas for improvement.
4. What I’m eating, drinking, buying, or whatever else is on my mind:
Here are a few of the other key indicators in good range:
Cholesterol:
Total: 174 mg/dl (4.49 mmol/L)
HDL (good cholesterol): 86 mg/dl (1.99 mmol/L)
LDL (potential bad cholesterol): ~82 mg/dl (1.89 mmol/L)
Heart Rate: 36 Beats per minute (always outside the norm of most humans…hahaha)
Fasting Blood Sugar: 79.8 mg/dl (4.7 mmol/L)
I had a few blood sample measurements that were outside the normal ranges, so I still have some work to do on my “slight anemia”
5. Quote(s) I am Pondering:
“Life is not merely to be alive, but to be well”. Marcus Valerius Martialis, Roman Poet
Happy Friday!
