5 Thought Friday
Here are 5 Thoughts for the week with a dream podcast for me:
1. What I am currently reading, viewing, or listening to:
Andrew Huberman Podcast with Dr. Peter Attia on Lifespan and healthspan
OMG: A dream podcast for me with 2 of my go-to gurus and just too much great info to list. Here is a random list: Marginal decade visioning, DEXA scans, VO2 Max, air squats, backcasting, supplements, etc.
2. Gratitude Practice (for improved happiness):
Grateful for individuals like Dr. Huberman and Dr. Attia sharing their knowledge for all of us to improve ourselves exponentially.
3. Wellness ideas to consider:
From Swolverine (btw, I love this website name): The farmer’s carry, farmer’s walk, and loaded walks are wonderful ways to increase overall stability, strength, and improve exercise conditioning. Whether you’re looking to become a better competitor in your sport or just looking to carry a bunch of groceries without feeling like you’re going to fall over, you can perform the farmer’s carry and reap the farmer’s carry benefits with just about any type of equipment. You’re going to feel improvements in balance, mind-muscle connection, muscles worked, cardiovascular health, aerobic capacity, grip strength, and endurance.
4. What I’m eating, drinking, buying, or whatever else is on my mind:
Organic roasted peppers with olive oil
Great vitamins and mineral content but most fascinating is that red peppers are technically a fruit.
5. Quote(s) I am Pondering:
Paraphrased: Dr. Attia talks about cognitive, physical, and emotional health. Emotional health is the single most important piece. Without this much of the other stuff doesn’t matter. If you are a miserable human being and have terrible relationships, your cognitive and physical health don’t really matter. (Minute 12 of the referenced podcast)
How true!
Happy Friday!
