5 Thought Friday
Here are 5 Thoughts for the week albeit my thoughts are consumed with the anticipation of driving to see one of my amazing daughters today…first time to see her in almost 3 years:
1. What I am currently reading, viewing, or listening to:
This post will be unusual for me but I’ve watched Top Gun Maverick twice and can’t stop listening to the soundtrack.
Harold FalterMeyer’s compositions are phenomenal. While the Top Gun Anthem is classic, this one is my favorite!
2. Gratitude Practice (for improved happiness):
Grateful for all the amazing service and empathy Irene and I received on our journey back to the USA. The logistics involved to travel were voluminous, but with patience, positive attitudes, and focus on the items within our control….all went so smoothly.
3. Wellness ideas to consider:
I loved this article and couldn’t resist sharing it. The basic premise is that if you exercise and eat poorly or don’t exercise but eat healthily, you will not prolong your lifespan.
Seems obvious but there are many people who believe that you can exercise your way out of a bad diet….and the data shows that simply doesn’t work. I am sure the weighing scale will show that as well (smile).
4. What I’m eating, drinking, buying, or whatever else is on my mind:
California Nectarines
Wow, it has been a long time since I have eaten such a fresh piece of stone fruit like this!
5. Quote(s) I am Pondering:
“Wealth is also defined by family, connection to our ancestry, and our best vision of the future. All of these find their inner spirit, their constancy, and their strength in the values that shape our thinking and our actions.” Nainoa Thompson, Hawaiian navigator.
Happy Friday!
