5 Thought Friday
Here are 5 Thoughts for the week:
1. What I am currently reading, viewing, or listening to:
The 48 Laws of Power; Robert Greene
Finally dipping my toe into the stoic writings of Robert Greene. Written in 2000, it still seems to resonate today with the benefits of mastering our own minds. Caveat: It is 800+ pages, so it may take a while to read
However, the quote in #5 below was too powerful, which lured me to press the “Buy now with 1-click” icon.
2. Gratitude Practice (for improved happiness):
Grateful for all the support and camaraderie we are receiving as a family on the upcoming move to Las Vegas. Much appreciation to all the party invites and those putting Irene up till she finds a place.
3. Wellness ideas to consider:
Muscle twitching resolution: Been experiencing some muscle twitching in my arms, so looking for a resolution.
Not sure of the full answer yet, because we are all unique but a few causes from the article link above may be:
Too much caffeine (that’s me)
Not enough Calcium
Short on electrolytes
4. What I’m eating, drinking, buying, or whatever else is on my mind:
Beijing (Peking) Duck. I ate it 3x in the last 2 weeks, which is highly unusual and is related to my gratitude comment in #2 above.
It tastes so so so delicious but I am surely not recommending it as a health and wellness food.
5. Quote(s) I am Pondering:
“Never waste valuable time, or mental peace of mind, on the affairs of others—that is too high a price to pay.” Robert Greene
Happy Friday!
