5 Thought Friday

Decided to finish all my required Continuing Professional Education requirements over the weekend to maintain my CPA license (see #1 below). A big cheer to all Accountants (smile)!

1.       What I am currently reading, viewing, or listening to:

  • Maximize Your Productivity

  • A weekend course on productivity to refresh the critical behaviors that improve efficiency and productivity at work and in my personal life. Some of my go-to tips:

    • Take a speed reading course

    • Be organized for meetings (and not just “meet to meet”)

    • Use the 80/20 Rule (Pareto Principle) when deciding what is important

    • Keep off your mobile phone (still a Work-in-Progress)

2.       Gratitude Practice (for improved happiness):

  • Grateful to be wellness-focused enough to get to the dermatologist this past week for a regular checkup….and no major issues! After being so light-skinned and sunburned over and over again as a youth, the annual trip to the dermatologist is a MUST!

  • Holland hydroponic organic cherry tomatoes; Simply delicious grilled or in a Japanese organic egg omelet. Luckily I don’t look at prices when it comes to longevity and wellness (within reason as I am an Accountant).
