5 Thought Friday

Here are 5 Thoughts for the week!

1.       What I am currently reading, viewing, or listening to:

  • The Midnight Library, Matt Haig

  • Feel good fictional book about what your life could have been like if you had taken more chances i.e. not living with regret about what could have been.

  • Thank you Joe for a great recommendation for the Sleep Minder Community!

2.       Gratitude Practice (for improved happiness):

  • Grateful for the well wishes for Lulu, my pet French Bulldog, who is taking an 8-day road trip from Macau to the USA this coming week!

  • Bon voyage Lulu and safe travels

3.       Wellness ideas to consider:

  • Take a self-care day! We sometimes forget about ourselves when the business of life takes over.

4. What I’m eating, drinking, buying, or whatever else is on my mind:

  • White Bean and Kale soup using New York Times Cooking APP. Was a lot of fun cooking and super nutritious.

  • However, I did make one classic cooking error by not assessing the ingredients vs. pot size. This PHOTO shows how it simply came right up to the brim, which is not ideal for boiling soups!

5. Quote(s) I am Pondering:

  • “A person was like a city. You couldn’t let a few less desirable parts put you off the whole. There may be bits you don’t like, a few dodgy side streets and suburbs, but the good stuff makes it worthwhile.” Matt Haig, The Midnight Library

  • We may not be perfect as humans, but our good qualities make life joyous and worth living….lets all go for it!

Happy Friday!

Mike
